When can I access my storage unit?
You are able to access your unit from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Sunday 365 days a year. Should you need office assistance, the office is open from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. The office is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays .
How do I know which size I need?
Once you have finished packing, use tape to mark out a 3m x 3m or 6m x 3m area on the floor of your home or garden, depending on what size you think you will need.
The next step would be to pack your items within the taped area, to see if they will roughly fit in this area. Most of our units have a 3m high ceiling, so you can also stack your items to verify their height. Should the size you have marked out not be sufficient, consider renting a bigger unit or renting more than one. Discounts are available when renting multiple units.
Should you plan to access your unit regularly, a larger unit might be more convenient than a unit that is filled to capacity, as this will allow you more manoeuvring space . View Unit Sizes
What are some tips when packing and storing my items in a unit?
- Use good quality boxes, and choose the right size. Use small boxes for heavier items, and large boxes for light items. Do not use garbage bags, as they tear easily and offer little protection to your belongings.
- To maximise your storage space, stack all the way to the ceiling by placing heavier and similar sized items at the bottom, and lighter items on top. Odd shaped items should be stored last, to avoid wasting space.
- Plan ahead! Allow for walkways down the centre of your unit, to make accessing items easier. Alternatively, pack those items you will need the most often near the front of your unit, closer to the door.
- Label your boxes clearly on all sides, and consider making an inventory of all your items for future reference.
- Protect your fragile goods with bubble wrap or newsprint and make sure to label boxes with these fragile items accordingly. Never place heavy items on top of boxes containing glassware and other breakable items.

MOVING TIPS
Be Prepared
Good Quality Boxes
Use good quality boxes and choose the right size. Use small boxes for heavier items, and large boxes for light items. Do not use garbage bags, as they tear easily and offer little protection to your belongings.
Label Clearly
Label boxes clearly on all sides for easy identification.
Protect Fragile Items
Protect your fragile goods with bubble wrap or newsprint, and make sure to label the boxes with these fragile items accordingly. Never place heavy items on top of boxes containing glassware and other breakable items.
Optimise Space
Don't Overload
Tape up your boxes with good quality tape, and ensure that they are not bulging or breaking at the seams.
Do not overload boxes, as they should not be heavier than what an average person can lift. It is also important not to underpack boxes, as the contents can shift whilst being transported, and could be crushed under the weight of heavier boxes and items.
